Millville VFC Vice President Addresses Ocean View Town Council

On Tuesday afternoon, 9 April 2024, Vice President Guy Rickards represented the Millville VFC since President Gregory Hocker was out of state. V.P. Rickards, Administrative Assistant to the president, Velicia Melson, and myself were present in a supporting role.

Past Fire Chief Rickards addressed Mayor Reddington, Councilman Steve Cobb, Councilwoman Colleen Twardzik, Councilman Jay Tyminski, and Mayor Pro Tem Don Walsh.

Vice President Guy Rickards delivered to the town council a listing of particulars that the fire company will purchase with the substantial $80,000 grant subsidized by the Town of Ocean View Public Safety Funds. The bulk of these monies will be utilized to purchase a new passenger van, portable radio microphones along with other lesser cost miscellaneous items.

Also in attendance was Carol Houck, Town Manager, Veronica Faust Town Solicitor, Donna Schwartz, Town Clerk, and Ken Cimino, Public Works Director. Lastly, Police Chief Kenneth McLaughlin and Sergeant Russell (Colt) Carter.
