The Millville Volunteer Fire Company is looking for new members that may want to come work and live at the beach, ride fire trucks, and hang out at the station with the other members! The company offers new state of the art live-in areas that were completed in the fall of 2022 for our new live-in program.

Fire Chief Walt Johnson is closely monitoring DEMA announcements and the possibility of any flooding in our fire district. Marine Unit 84 has already been attached to the Utility Truck for a rapid response.

On Saturday afternoon, 4 May 2024, at approximately 1347 hours, Communications dispatched a call for a Structure Fire in the 34000 block of Central Avenue in unincorporated Frankford, De. The following volunteer fire companies responded, Millville, Bethany Beach, Roxana, Dagsboro, and Frankford. Supplementing the suppression units, Sussex County Paramedic Unit #105 not only responded, but was the first to reach the site and grant the responding units with an updated status to the call.

On Friday May 3rd, 2024 Ocean View Brewing presented the Millville Volunteer Fire Company a check in the amount of $1,460.00 which represented the proceeds from a Dine and Donate event hosted by Ocean View Brewing on April 12th, 2024.
