Wednesday, October 29, 2008

On Wednesday October 29 at 10:43 p.m., the Millville Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County Paramedics were dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the 37000 block of Club House Road. Equipment began responding to the alarm within one minute of the dispatch. The ambulance crew and firefighters arrived to a single-vehicle accident. As the driver of a Chevrolet pickup was traveling on Clubhouse Road, she lost control of the vehicle and impacted a tree on the north side of the road. The driver’s side door was cut open so the emergency crew could safely remove the driver from the vehicle. The driver was placed in the Millville Volunteer Fire Company ambulance for initial treatment. A landing zone was established at the Millville Volunteer Fire Company for the Delaware State Police medical helicopter Trooper 2. The driver was transferred to Trooper 2 and then transported to the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. Assistant Chief Graig Temple turned the accident scene over to the Delaware State Police for investigation. “DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS PROUDLY SERVING OUR COMMUNITY”
