The Millville Volunteer Fire Company has extended their assistance to the War, West Virginia Fire Department.  In collaboration with the Ocean City Fire Department and the Pittsville Volunteer Fire Department, the companies donated a fire engine and equipment to help their brothers and sisters in West Virginia.  The Ocean City Fire Department donated “Engine 2”, a 1985 Pierce engine slated to be sold as surplus property.  The Pittsville Volunteer Fire Company donated an entire hose bed of 4” supply hose.  The Millville Volunteer Fire Company donated 16 air packs and 34 spare cylinders, a number of lengths of 1 ¾” attack hose, as well as a PPV fan.

On April 18, 2014 Deputy Chief J.D. Lawson visited the Millville Fire Station on his way to West Virginia.  The fire service in this area is extremely blessed with the amount of apparatus and equipment available to protect our communities.  It is truly an honor to be able to help other fire companys’ protect their communities as well.
